We want a DC bottle bill and we want it now! We formed a massive coalition of DC residents and organizations that want Big Beverage’s trash out of our neighborhoods, rivers and parks; convinced 11 of 13 DC Council members to introduce the “Recycling Refund and Litter Reduction Amendment Act of 2025” or bottle bill; and four months ago, over two hundred and twenty five witnesses said NO to Big Beverage continuing to pollute the District and YES to this bill.
We expect the Council to hold three key votes on the bottle bill in June and July.
We need you, during this most important phase of our campaign, to help us finish the job and make Big Beverage polluters, like COKE and PEPSI, pay to clean up bottle-and-can pollution. The DC Council needs to hear from all supporters.
